IN MUSIC'S CLASSES WE HAVE LEARNT A LOT OF THINGS:

What is sound?
Sound is somethig that you heard but you pay attention.
What is noise?
Noise is something that you heard but you don't pay attention.

THE QUALITIES OF SOUND.
Pitch: It allows us to distinguish between low and high sounds.

Duration: It allows us to distinguish between long and short sounds.

Intensity:It allows us to distinguish between loud or soft sounds.

Timbre: It allows us to distinguish between voices and instuments.

MUSIC GENRES.
Popular music and art music:
Is used to works with a short duration and simple structure.

Religious music and secular music:
Religious music accompanies a religious ceremony or has a religious theme.

 Program music and absolute music:
Is isnpired by a landscape, a painting, an event in history...

Vocal, instrumental and vocal-instrumental music.
One of the most common ways to distinguish between vocal music, instrumental music and vocal-instrumental music depends on the weather they are performed with the voice, instruments or both in turn.
